AOC Legislative Retreat 2026

June 28 – 30, 2026 | FivePine Lodge, Sisters, Oregon

On behalf of AOC President and Tillamook County Commissioner Erin Skaar, please join us June 28-30 for the AOC Legislative Retreat in Sisters.

The retreat will include meetings of all five AOC steering committees during which our members will officially recommend legislative priorities and policy positions for the association for 2027-2028. The retreat will conclude with a meeting of the AOC Legislative Committee where our members will officially vote on and approve the priorities and policy positions.

AOC encourages all county commissioners, judges, and chairs to attend as well as affiliates and associate members who serve on AOC steering committees to attend. Registration fees apply for all attendees. 

 

Registration

Full Registrant $275

Includes all meals and breaks (dinner on Sunday; breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Monday; and breakfast on Tuesday).

Guest Registrant $200

Includes Sunday and Monday dinners only.

Please note that the room block is available for booking until Friday, May 15 on a first-come, first-served basis. Availability is limited; please secure your reservation as soon as possible. Third-party reservations will not be able to access AOC’s special group rate. 


Commissioners, judges, and chairs are responsible for personal expenses associated with travel, lodging, and additional meals.

Below is a draft agenda of the event. A formal agenda will be distributed to attendees in advance of the event. 


Formal agendas will be posted to the AOC website and distributed through the public listservs as they are confirmed. The retreat will include public meetings of each AOC steering committee and the AOC Legislative Committee. All AOC members and affiliate/associate members of the steering committees are encouraged to attend.
Sunday, June 28
  • 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. Reception & Dinner sponsored by DLR Group (dinner served at 6:00 p.m.).  Registered retreat attendees may bring guests to the dinner and reception for an extra fee. 
Monday, June 29
  • 8 a.m. - 8:30 a.m.  Breakfast
  • 8:30 a.m. - Noon   AOC Legislative Retreat
  • Noon - 1 p.m.  Lunch
  • 1 p.m. - 5:15 p.m.  AOC Legislative Retreat
  • 5:15 p.m. - 8 p.m.  Reception & Dinner. Registered retreat attendees may bring guests to the dinner for an extra fee. 
Tuesday, June 30
  • 8 a.m. - 8:30 a.m.   Breakfast
  • 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.  AOC Legislative Retreat
  • 11:30 a.m.   Adjourn (No lunch provided)

Cancellation Policy 

All cancellations of retreat registrations must be sent in writing to the Association of Oregon Counties (AOC) at events@oregoncounties.orgg. Each registration cancellation received by June 18, 2026 will receive a refund. All refunds will be issued, less a $50 administrative fee. Cancellations received after June 18, 2026 are nonrefundable.
